Coloring Easter Eggs

For Family Home Evening we went down to Grandma & Grandpa Hunter's house (or the White Grandma & Grandpa as Nalea would call them) and colored easter eggs. The kids had a lot of fun, but it was a full time job trying to get Boston & Austin not to drink the dye.

Baby Lincoln

Today after church, Kyle, the kids, and I were laying in bed getting ready for our Sunday afternoon nap. Kyle and the kids enjoy playing, "I got your nose." So Boston decides that he is going to steal baby Lincoln out of my belly (that is the name we have chosen for our new baby). So he lifts up my shirt, grabs a handful of my belly and sticks it onto his belly. Then he proceeds to say, "Ha, Ha, mama. I have baby Lincoln." He insists that there is a baby in his belly, which is a constant argument between Nalea and him. As long as when I deliver the baby he's not sad that his baby didn't come out also, we'll be fine.

My Little Cleaning Man

Boston is quite the little cleaner. He loves to get rags and sponges soaking wet with water and scrub the house. The problem is that he scrubs the dirty fireplace and then scrubs my white walls. At least he has the whole concept down, right? If only he would continue to do this when he gets older.

FARM LIFE

Farm life definitely has its advantages. This last week the cows have started calving. The kids love to go down and see the baby cows. They are so cute, and we've had so much fun.

On Saturday, we made our daily trip down to the corrals. I made Nalea get as close as she could to the babies so that I could take her picture. The mama cows didn't think that was too great. One of the moms started pawing the ground and charged the fence. I couldn't help but laugh. Nalea started crying and said, "Do you think that's funny that the mama cow tried to eat me?"
We have to stop and pet the horses, T.J. and Sanchez, while we are down there.
The kids can't wait until it's warm enough to start riding them again!
And yes, that's Boston in the plain pink jacket. He wanted to wear a PINK jacket because Nalea was.

House Progress

This is what our house currently looks like. The colums in the front will have an arch at the top, and the window above the front door will be smaller and arched. Kyle is about half way done shingling the roof, he is almost finished with the electrical, and he is working on the dirt work so he can pour the cement floor in the garage. Do you think he's busy enough? As soon as the rest of our windows and our front door arrives, the rock/brick and stucco can go up. The heating and plumbing are finished on the interior, so we are almost ready for insulation and sheetrock. How EXCITING!!!

Our house is going up much faster than I had expected. Kyle is doing a GREAT job! I am so grateful for all of his hard work. And he hardly complains when I make him re-do because I can't make my mind up. Thanks, honey!

"P" Day at Preschool

This week Nalea's preschool class has been learning about the letter "P". To end the week, on Friday they got to wear their PJ'S to class and bring their Pillow to watch Peter Pan. Nalea chose to wear her Princess Pajamas, bring her Princess Pillow and her Princess blanket. Mrs. Clark even let them make their own Pancakes. She is the best!!! Needless to say, Nalea loves school. Every morning she wakes up wanting to know if she has school that day, and she never wants to leave when I go to pick her up!
